SINY 128: Finance in Practice

Main content start

The practice of finance encompasses a myriad of professions spanning investment banking, sales & trading, research, and investing. At its core, however, finance revolves around three concepts: asset valuation, measurement of risk, and the movement of money. This course will teach students the fundamentals of each of these concepts - and how they relate to each other - as practiced by professionals across asset classes and industries. Students will come away with an expanded analytical toolkit as well as a basic understanding of the modern financial ecosystem.
